GEN1

The GEN1 command will generate a constant. It is equivalent to a SAMPLE 1 1 command with a GENR command.

In general, the format is:

GEN1 equation

For example:

GEN1 NOB=$N

Saves the value of the number of observations from a previous regression in the variable NOB. (Also type HELP TEMP).
